Franco Palla, is Associate professor at the University of Palermo, Italy, teaching in Master Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, in Biodiversity and Plant Ecology, Biotechnology. He Coordinate the UNIPA Research Unit - Project IT@CHA - Italian Technology for Advanced Applications in Cultural Assets. Member of scientific research group: Italy-Cambodia Cooperation Project "Training of Cultural Heritage Experts”, Angkor, Cambodia; APQ Balkan Project – Sub-project MUSA Museum of Yugoslav History, Belgrade, Serbia; Italy-Syria Cooperation Program for Renovation and Reorganization National Museum of Damascus, Syria. He has over 195 publications (paper, books, chapters in books). He is Deputy Editor-in-chief of the international Journal of Conservation Science in Cultural Heritage. He is the head of the Laboratory of Biology and Biotechnology for Cultural Heritage-Department STEBICEF-University of Palermo.
