Mohd. Imran completed his PhD at the age of 27 years in 2006 from Jamia Hamdard (Hamdard University), India. He has worked as a Research Scientist in the Patent Department of Wockhardt Pharmaceuticals and Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited for about 7.5 years. He joined the College of Pharmacy, Northern Border University, Saudi Arabia in 2013. Currently, he is working as Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and a permanent member of the Patent Office of the Northern Border University. Dr. Mohd. Imran is actively involved in teaching and research. He has over 75 publications that have been cited over 419 times. He also has 5 patent application filings to his credit. He has been serving as an editorial board member of reputed Journals.
